Our puppies are sold registered to Finnish Kennel Club, microchipped, de-wormed and their health has been checked by a vet before the puppy is ready to move on to his new life with his new family. The price of the puppy inclued VAT 24 % and if the new owner so wishes, we will pay his/hers membership in the Lapphund Club of Finland or the Finnish Keeshond club.
Our puppies eat Royal Canin and each puppy will get food with him when he moves on to his new home. By the time the puppies are ready to move to their new homes, they are already used to eating bones and raw meat. I recommend Roayl Canin to all the puppies I sell, but I respect the right of every dog owner to make their own decision about the food the dog will be fed with in the future, as long as the diet is healthy and provides the dog with adequate nutrition. I will also be happy to help you with finding the right alternative for RC, if you so wish. I do recommend a gentle way of switching a puppy from one food to another, so that the puppy won't get gastrointestinal problems.
What kind of things do I hope from you as a dog owner?
I wish that the puppy would have health checks: at least eyes, knees and x-ray examination for HD and ED)HD, ED after it reaches the age of at least 12 months, but before it will be turn four years. I am not forcing anyone to do these health checks, but I do wish for them as breeding healthy dogs is very important to me and I see official health checks as one of the tools to make sure I gain enough information about the health of the dogs I breed. I also wish that every Mintline's puppy would attend at least one official dog show and I am happy to help in any way I can if you need help, support or information about dog shows as well. To me, as a breeder, it is important and valuable to have a judges objective opinion about as many dogs I've bred as possible.
Every dog needs training - so does your puppy! Each puppy needs to be taught the rules of correct behaviour and I warmly recommend you to contact your local dog training organisation or company.
Both Lapponian Herders and Keeshonds need tasks to perform, things to do and and owner who likes to get active with them. I don't expect you to train your dog on a competition level but if you will end up achieving something on that field, I will be happy and proud of the effort and acitivity of you and your dog.
You will always have my support and I hope that you will hear from your Mintline's puppy even when he's all grown up, or gets all old and grey. There is nothing you can't ask me. I can always be contacted to email, phone or by visiting us and I will do all I can to help, if you need my help.
